12/3/2023 0 Comments Callaway jaws wedge full toe![]() ![]() Just came down to preference to me.ġ9 days away from the 2021 GD run officially being over once the 22 team lands in California. Performance wise, the FT is right up there with the Jaws Raw. I couldn’t give you a negative reason about this club for why I did it other than I wanted to go back to a standard wedge shape even if it meant going back to chrome. Yes, I replaced this club towards the end of the season with the Jaws Raw. Opening up the face and seeing how much club you have to work with is pretty inspiring confidence wise. Also I pulled off some absolutely stupid flop shots this year. I even holed one for birdie right in front of JB ? Granted we had already lost that side, but still. ![]() I’ll never forget a few of the shots I hit with this club at the Hideaway. The black was slimming and black is my favorite finish in wedges. I don’t think I would have been as big of a fan of the chrome. I do want to preface this with the fact that my FT was the black finish. Adding in the full face grooves to the hidden height was a look that was masterfully done. I could tell that it was a little taller in the toe than a standard wedge but it was hidden soooo well. The first time I set this club down next to a ball, I was astounded at how "slim" it looked. It looked like the to came to a freaking point and it looked awful to my eyes. Let me start by saying that before this club, I despised the look of high toe wedges and full faced grooves. This was a club I was super excited to try after my fitting. I’ll give a final breakdown for each version of the wedge in each thread as well as link to the other two threads. Jaws Raw, Jaws Full Toe and Standard MD5s. This season, I had three different versions of the Jaws wedges in the bag. It is interesting to hear the company admit that they believe the PM Grind became too specialized and kept something that could be beneficial to all golfers from being playable for them. This release is aimed at a much wider group of golfers from the PGA Tour to the casual weekenders. They are also adamant that they are bringing better performance and unparalleled looks to the high-toe category. So, to be crystal clear, this is not a rehash of the PM Grind, not at all.Īs mentioned, Callaway is considering this wedge design to be their most advanced ever. The stagnation of the design as well as the indifference of some golfers and even Tour Staff towards the PM Grind brought forth the desire to not just create an evolution, but a revolution by throwing all the tricks and tech that Callaway has at it. It has also been a club that since day one you either loved or loathed the look. The PM Grind created the segment and has continued to be a bit of cult classic. The above is the official tagline for the new JAWS Full Toe wedges from Callaway, and there is a whole lot of truth there regarding just how they approached designing this one. It is time to say hello to the new Callaway JAWS Full Toe wedges, and believe me, there is much more than meets the eye. ![]()
